CKBA develops valve standards of all types foreseen by Federal law «On technical regulation» (dated 27.12.2002, No 184-ФЗ): national standards and company standards (CKBA Standards).

CKBA is the author of more than 60 national and interstate standards — on safety, terminology, the range of main parameters, marking, general specifications.

There are over 100 CKBA standards (ST CKBA). They may be used in different industries and detailed the certain provisions of national standards. ST CKBA are developed as a rule on the basis of the valve industry standards that were legal in the Soviet time taking into consideration the up-to-date requirements.

Moreover, CKBA takes part in development of standards pertaining to design, manufacture, test and operation of all valve types and issued by other organizations. Thus, a set of regulations was prepared for NPP valves, the work being now in process — set of standards for oil trunk valves, thermal power valves.

CKBA is the head organization of Technical Committee on standardization «Pipeline valves and bellows» TK 259, founded on the decision of Rosstandard, as well as is the member of Technical committees TK 23 «Oil and gas production technique and technology» and TK 155 «Pipeline fittings of general purpose».

CKBA is a member of noncommercial organizations and has the close cooperation on standardization activity with:

  • RSPP (Technical regulation and standardization committee);
  • Interindustry council on technical regulation and standardization in oil and gas complex of Russia ;
  • Interindustry council on technical regulation and standardization in power-generating facilities;
  • Ukraine Valve manufacturer’s Association;
  • The union of oil and gas equipment manufacturers.

Standards developed by CKBA are used by over 300 plants in Russia and CIS.
