The new edition of «English-Russian Dictionary of Pipeline Valves, Gaskets, Packing, Seals and Actuators» has been already published (SPb, 2013, 370 p.).
The third edition of the dictionary widely known for specialists in valve industry is greatly extended and comprises over 10 000 dictionary entries.
Dictionary comprises terms and phrases used in valve industry, valve actuation and related fields which adequate meanings are very difficult and at times impossible to find in other sources – and, not least importantly, everyone may trust it.
The authors (Т. Sklyarova and E. Mikchailova) excellently know lexicography and valve terms. The published issue is the result of many years practice in collection of unique terms validated by experts in valve industry. The authors used the wide range of information sources – catalogues and prospects of foreign companies, operating and mounting manuals, engineering documentations, specifications, national and international standards, special articles, reports and reviews of national valve associations, EC Directives, as well as English and American dictionaries.
Dictionary comprises terms covering as follows: valves types, manufacturing processes, repair, valve actuation, connecting to pipelines, sealing, tests, quality, reliability and safety, performance data.
